The London African Gospel Choir are to perform a smash hit version of Paul Simon’s ‘Graceland’ album in full on the main stage of this year’s Rhythmtree Festival.
The choir is made up of a collective of African singers, musicians and dancers who have performed to great acclaim with the likes of Emeli Sandé, Mumford and Sons and Annie Lennox, recorded with Idris Elba, Johnny Legend and many others and have headlined at venues such as the O2 Arena.
Featuring 17 people on stage this show has become one of London’s hottest tickets with it’s initial run of 2 nights being extended to 8 sell out shows in March alone.

Aside from ‘Graceland’ and a headline performance from The Lightning Seeds, Saturday at Rhythmtree also features an eagerly awaited closing set in the Didg Cafe from Beans on Toast, a debut Island performance for the highly acclaimed trio Yorkston/Thorne/Khan and the 12 piece big band party sound of the Voodoo Love Orchestra.
Over 70 acts from 5 continents will be appearing at the festival between 14th-16th July with headline performances from the Stereo MC’s, The Lightning Seeds and The Blockheads.
