Cowes Week 2026 offers a packed programme of shoreside entertainment, with live music, family attractions, fireworks and maritime celebrations throughout the regatta.
With North Sails taking over as title sponsor this year, a number of new attractions have been introduced alongside returning favourites, ensuring there is plenty to enjoy for sailors and spectators alike.
The Parade will once again form the heart of the Regatta Village, hosting retailers, food stalls, bars and family activities throughout the week. Visitors can also take advantage of free UKSA try-sailing sessions from the Youth Sailing Zone, while younger visitors can enjoy dedicated entertainment and explore the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust’s vessel Solent Hero.
The Parade is also the starting point for the new Maritime Heritage Trail, which guides visitors through Cowes’ rich sailing history, including a special exhibition from the Royal Yacht Britannia Trust. Hosted in the historic Commodore’s House – once home to legendary boat designer Uffa Fox – Sailing Through Royal History explores Britannia’s long-standing links with Cowes and the town’s royal maritime heritage.
A programme of themed days will run throughout the week, including:
- Sunday 2nd August – Family Day, featuring a scavenger hunt and appearances from Captain Ted Funnel.
- Tuesday 4th August – Women’s Day, celebrating women in sailing alongside a performance by Mr Randini’s Magic Show.
- Wednesday 5th August – North Sails Race Day, including a kitesurfing demonstration off the Royal Yacht Squadron at 12:00.
- Thursday 6th August – Royal Navy Day, featuring Mr Randini’s Magic Show, a performance by the Royal Marines Band between 18:00 and 19:00 and an aerial display presented by Red Funnel at 19:10.
- Friday 7th August – North Sails Firework Display, beginning at 21:30.
Cowes Yacht Haven will once again be one of the busiest social hubs during the regatta. The Musto Bar hosts the opening social on Saturday 1st August and will offer live music from around 17:00 each day, alongside Island food vendors, bars and interactive attractions.
Visitors can also try the GB1 America’s Cup simulator, the Musto x Emirates GBR SailGP Grinder, Sunsail’s giant beach games, the Mount Gay Rum Shack and the Mermaid Gin Bar. On Monday, the Shalfleet Shanty Singers perform from 17:45.
Shepards Marina’s Sugar Store will be open over the opening weekend and again on Friday 7th August. On Monday 3rd August, Mermaid Gin will celebrate the regatta’s 200th anniversary with ‘Mermaid Monday’, featuring a DJ from 16:00, 200 complimentary Mermaid Gin drinks from 17:00 (subject to availability and age verification) and live music from the Cat Skellington Jazz Band from 18:00.
Northwood House and Park will again provide one of the most extensive entertainment programmes away from the waterfront.
Daily afternoon teas will be served on St Mary’s Lawn from 11:00, while the Musto Lawn Bar will host evening entertainment throughout the week.
Highlights include:
- Saturday 1st August – Free concert by the Wight Diamonds Marching Band at 14:00, followed by the Epic Lawn Bar Cowes Party Night featuring Vernon Kay.
- Sunday 2nd August – Family tree climbing with Goodleaf Climbing from 12:00, the Isle of Wight Radio Super Sunday Family Party and an evening performance by comedian Jasper Carrott alongside Strictly ABBA.
- Monday 3rd August – The Big Lawn Hoedown featuring JC and the Bushwhackers from 20:00.
- Tuesday 4th August – Special afternoon teas, the opening of the John Matthews Family Fun Fair in Northwood Park and Tequila Tuesday at the Musto Lawn Bar.
- Wednesday 5th August – Dance music evening with DJs.
- Thursday 6th August – Ladies Lunch hosted by All About Catering, followed by a public performance from the Royal Marines Band (Portsmouth) and the evening’s ‘Thirsty Thursday’ celebrations.
- Friday 7th August – Music Firework Party headlined by Craig Charles.
Many of Cowes’ yacht clubs will once again stage their traditional parties and balls, while pubs across the town will offer live music and food throughout the week.
Those looking for a quieter break from the festivities can attend the annual Cowes Week Service at Holy Trinity Church, behind the Royal Yacht Squadron, at 18:15 on Sunday 2nd August. The church will also be open to visitors during the week, serving homemade cakes and refreshments.
