An open day is set to be held tomorrow (Saturday) at Pets @ Home in Newport to raise awareness of reptiles and amphibians, introducing people to some unique animals.
Wight Reptile and Amphibian Society will be hosting the event between 10am and 2pm, with a treasure hunt for the children along with a colouring competition and raffle. A variety of snakes and reptiles will be with the society, as well as a few exotic pets.
The 8 founders of the newly-formed society (pictured) are Tiff Cook, Dan Smith, Kirsty Smith, Kevin Grieve, Tanya Hunt, Erin Rhodes, Justine Knowland and Neil Hunt.
