As the Summer holidays continue, families of all ages have been enjoying a medieval event at the heart of the Island this week.
The historic Carisbrooke Castle has been host to the Grand Medieval Joust, where fighting knights have done battle in a live action show with falconry displays, periodic crafts and arts and all the fun and entertainment that the castle has to offer.
Crowds of people packed out the show ground at Carisbrooke, spectating the drama of clashing knights on horseback, cheering on their favourite.
It’s not too late to capture the action, as the jousting continues until 17:00 today on what is the final day of English Heritage’s special event.
