Joedan has confirmed it will invest £3million into its new Newport site on Forest Road, which will create 150 new jobs, as it celebrates its 40th anniversary.
Founded in 1985 by John and Nicky Purcaro, Joedan has grown from a small family start-up into a nationally recognised designer, manufacturer, and installer of aluminium and UPVC windows and doors.
As Joedan marks its 40th Anniversary, the company is celebrating with a huge investment that brings manufacturing and new employment to the Isle of Wight.
Joedan has launched a £3 million investment, with the purchase of the former Snows premises on Forest Road in Newport. The two and a quarter acre site will be their new location – a major step in Joedan’s continued growth strategy.
The expanding company currently operates 3 design centres located in Tewkesbury (head office), Winchester and Newport – Isle of Wight. Manufacturing is presently based at its Tewkesbury headquarters, with plans underway to establish a second production facility on the Isle of Wight. In the meantime, the Newport design centre remains open to visitors until the new site is officially operational.
One existing building at their new site will be converted into a modern design centre, with the other dedicated to manufacturing.
From mid-2026, construction will begin on a new purpose-built facility to increase capacity and support additional product lines. The site will also allow Joedan to expand beyond aluminium, into UPVC, composite doors and other glazing systems.
The development is set to generate around 150 jobs, including 30 apprenticeship opportunities, strengthening the local jobs market.
A key feature will be the Joedan apprentice academy, based on-site and focused on building expertise across production, design, engineering, and technical fields.
Through this focus on training and progression, Joedan is investing in a skilled workforce to support both its future and the long-term prosperity of the Island.

Let’s hope all the new builds use this company.
