The Isle of Wight Festival will be going back to the year that was 1969 to celebrate Peace and Love – the chosen theme for the 2019 event.
50 years since the iconic ’69 Isle of Wight Festival, blouses and bell-bottoms are expected to be out in force once again.
Although The Who and Bob Dylan won’t be appearing this time around, there will be musical tributes to Dylan in the form of Simply Dylan, who will take to the Big Top on Thursday 13th. There will also be a number themed areas across the Seaclose Park site.
This year’s festival line up includes the likes of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, George Ezra, Biffy Clyro, Rick Astley, Jess Glynne, Tom Walker and Fatboy Slim.
Fancy dress is being encouraged on Saturday 15th June with one lucky person set to be crowned King or Queen of the Summer at 14:00 in Strawberry Fields. Maybe you will recreate the first man on the moon, or The Beatles’ Abbey Road album.
Tickets for this year’s festival are available at www.thepriceiswight.co.uk.
