Former Sandown High School student and Shanklin resident, Lindsey Bonnick, is to star on Sky 1’s brand new show ‘Sing: Ultimate A Cappella’ later this month.
Since leaving school Lindsey, 32, has explored several music ventures both on and off the Island, but in more recent times she has formed a vocal harmony trio called ‘Timeless’. Now, alongside her 2 counterparts Chloe Dixon, 26 and Lauren Potter, also 26, Lindsey is about to be heavily featured on a major television show.
The new singing contest – which is to be hosted by Cat Deeley – kicks off on Friday (6th October) at 21:00, with Timeless featuring on televisions across the country on 27th October.
The Portsmouth-based trio cover music from the 40’s to the 00’s and have been together for over 2 years.
Sing: Ultimate A Cappella will test the groups in 3 rounds – a medley round, iconic artist covers and a final showdown between 2 groups – and unlike other shows, there will be no backing tracks or instruments to hide behind.
Across 6 heats, the groups will be judged by experts from the world of a cappella as they attempt to secure a place in the final. The ultimate winning group will get the opportunity to record an album at the iconic Abbey Road Studios and have a single released in time for Christmas.
