HRH The Princess Royal will be visiting Cowes Week this year, for 2 days, from 31st July to 1st August.
As previously reported by Island Echo, Princess Anne will visit the offices of Cowes Week Limited, as Admiral, attend a Reception at the Royal London Yacht Club and attend dinner as an Honorary Member of the Royal Yacht Squadron.
Her Royal Highness, in her role as President of Riding for the Disabled, will visit the Isle of Wight Riding for the Disabled at Osborne House. The main reason for her visit is to present a long service award to Group President Mrs Jean Winter , who has been a volunteer helper with RDA and Carriage Driving for 40 years.
Other helpers will also receive awards for long service and also 1 of the ponies will receive an award after taking disabled clients for 15 years. Princess Anne will also watch driving demonstrations and present trophies and commemorative rosettes to disabled drivers.
On the following day, Her Royal Highness will start the Triple Crown Yacht Race from the Royal Yacht Squadron Battlements, before as Patron, visiting UKSA.
