UPDATED: Hovertravel are to run extra late services during this year’s Victorious Festival to enable Islanders to enjoy the festival experience for longer.
The cross-Solent operator is set to run additional crossings between Southsea and Ryde on Friday 25th, Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th August.
UPDATE 26TH JULY – Due to very high demand Hovertravel is now offering a midnight and half-past midnight departure from Southsea for customers attending the Victorious Festival on Friday 25th August.

Loretta Lale, Head of Commercial at Hovertravel, said:
“This is the latest we have ever operated and being able to give island residents the opportunity to stay through to the end of the Victorious Festival demonstrates how flexible Hovertravel can be in supporting local events.
“As this festival is on Southsea Common, Hovertravel is by far the closest ferry operator and as the fastest across the Solent, we expect a nice mix of people who enjoy the fantastic line-up at Victorious, but it’s also about giving people a better choice.
“When we launched the services up to 23:30 we had exceptional demand and some of these services are now almost full, so we knew people were choosing us as the most convenient option. By working closely with the local councils and our staff we can now extend our late services into the early morning of the next day and help the island community enjoy a great night out.”
