Guilt-free shopping is set to arrive in Ryde as a new store specialising in zero waste products has announced its opening date.
Her Whey will be opening its store in Cross Street tomorrow (Tuesday), with an emphasis on selling eco-friendly goods and giving customers the chance to bring their own containers to fill as opposed to using single-use plastics.
Products such as laundry detergent, washing up liquid, and soaps are all available ‘on tap’, meaning a customer can bring their own refillable bottle to use, cutting down on the amount of plastic being sold and discarded.
Bulk whole foods will also be available to buy, alongside items like toothbrushes made from bamboo.
Her Whey said on Facebook:
“Our zero waste shop enables our customers to live a more zero waste lifestyle through eliminating packaging and encouraging the use of containers from home to fill and refill with bulk whole, natural beauty and cleaning products plus much more.
“Our supplies are stored and displayed in a variety of dispensers throughout the shop, making for an experience which has been seen to have an old-world feel, but with a fun modern twist.”
