THOUSANDS of visitors traveled from across the Island yesterday for the launch of Yarmouth’s Old Gaffers Festival.

In celebration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, Elizabeth II look-a-like Mary Reynolds officially opened the 3-day festival under a shower of yellow and purple balloons.

Over 100 traditional vessels, powered by steam, sail and motor, have traveled the length and breadth of the country to attend the annual event held in and around Yarmouth Harbour.
