Published at:

A glittering gala evening will be held in memory of Gloria Minghella MBE, in support of 2 Island charities who were close to her heart.

Wight Charity Supporters have organised the black tie and tiara event at Northwood House on 7th February, in aid of Mountbatten and the Isle of Wight branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

The evening of fine dining will include cabaret performances from Steinway artist James Longford and the internationally-acclaimed Miss Hope Springs (sponsored by Belinda Wright).

Now, if all immigrants to the UK were as nice, hard working and generous as this family has been, the country would be a far better place.

I remember going to Minghella’s café when young in Ryde. A great place where teenagers would hang out, and fond memories of Mrs Minghella
