A group of firefighters from Ryde have donned their kit (well, some of it!) to pose for a special charity calendar in aid of The Wight Brainy Bunch.
‘Hoses and Helmets’ is the title of the must-have calendar for 2018 which features a different firefighter each month, as well as a few extra group shots.
The photos were taken at Ryde Fire Station earlier this year by Heidi Holland, with the grateful participation of the fire crew.
The Wight Brainy Bunch was established in 2015 by Mark and Kathryn Grimes to raise awareness and support for The Brain Tumour Charity. Mark, who features in the calendar, was just 34-years-old when he was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Following a successful operation, the duo have spent the past 2 years raising funds – this being the latest fundraising initiative for the charity.

The Wight Brainy Bunch team will also be selling the calendars at ASDA in Newport on 2nd December, as well as at the charity’s Christmas Market at Ryde Fire Station on 9th December.
