With just over a week to go until Fairweather Festival opens its gates in Sandown, final details of next Saturday’s event have been confirmed.
Professor Green, FooR, Bass Boy, Atomic Kitten and The Chuckle Brothers will take to the stage at Los Altos Park, Sandown on Saturday 2nd September alongside many other local and well-known acts.
Aside from some of the UK’s best musical talent being showcased, festival goers can expect funfair attractions and stalls, a 70ft inflatable assault course, bull rodeo, circus workshops, glitter girls, face painting, a bar, trading stalls and more.
Gates open at 11:00 with the entertainment continuing right through to 21:45. Those who have purchased tickets online can exchange their eTicket at the gate for a wristband to allow entry. Anyone aged 16 or under must be accompanied by a responsible adult (over 18).
As long as capacity levels permit, a limited number of full price tickets will be available on the gate priced at £30 (Adults), £20 (Student) and £10 (Child). As availability on the gate cannot be guaranteed and therefore it is strongly recommend that you book in advance at www.fairweatherfestival.co.uk.
Volunteers are being sought to assist with general duties at the event. If you can spare at least 3 hours of your time in exchange for entry to the event email [email protected].
Getting to & from the Fairweather Festival site
Drivers are being encouraged to leave their cars behind and use public transport. Sandown Train Station is located seconds away and frequent buses operate nearby through Lake and Sandown.
The only entrance to the Fairweather site will be via Simeon Path (Sandown Train Station).
Allow plenty of time for arrival and onward journeys and be advised there may be slight delays leaving the site depending upon demand for buses and taxis.
Parking
Limited parking can be found at Sandown & Shanklin Rugby Club and Sandown Bay Academy. Both have kindly allowed use their land to allow festival goers to park at the event. Parking will be charged at a £5 donation per car – all proceeds will go to Mind, the mental health charity.
If you have a disability or are accompanying a disabled person, notify a parking steward when you arrive and they will do their best to find you the best possible parking space in the designated disabled parking area situated directly opposite the entrance to the site. Note: A current Blue Badge must be displayed at all times.
Drop-offs & pick-ups
If you are arranging a drop off/pickup by friends or family use the official Drop Off & Pick Up Point which is located at Sandown Bay Academy. Do not drop off or arrange to pick people up anywhere along The Fairway, Sandown Train Station or Station Approach.
