The Environment Agency’s West Hampshire Field Team has been busy working to clear a blockage at Pan Meadows this week.
With severe rain forecast, the team were out in force in Newport on Tuesday to ensure a clear flow for the River Medina.
The work is carried out regularly at locations across the Island to help reduce the local flood risk.
A yellow weather warning for heavy rain remains in force until 02:00 on Sunday morning.
