
The Environment Agency’s West Hampshire Field Team has been busy working to clear a blockage at Pan Meadows this week.
With severe rain forecast, the team were out in force in Newport on Tuesday to ensure a clear flow for the River Medina.
The work is carried out regularly at locations across the Island to help reduce the local flood risk.

Makes a change for them to close the barn door before the horse has bolted.
Waste of time, the ‘residents’ will just fill up any ditches with stained matteresses, root balls of dope plants, and white cider tins.
