Police are searching for a driver suspected to be under the influence of drink or drugs following a crash in Ryde tonight (Friday), which has seen 3 vehicles badly damaged.
A black Toyota Aygo was seen driving at speed, with no lights on, down Weeks Road at just before 21:30.
The Toyota then smashed into a parked silver Hyundai i20, which in turn shunted forwards into a Ford Transit van – near the junction with Alfred Street.
The male driver jumped to his feet and ran up the road, leaving the scene of the crash.
Police are now in attendance with efforts underway to identify and locate the wanted driver, who is understood to have been behind the wheel of his girlfriend’s motor.
Thankfully, no persons were inside the parked vehicles at the time of the collision.
Hope he gets the full sentence ..but i doubt it..

Such a shame he was’nt found dead at the scene rather than fleeing it. No justice in this world could of so easily killed multiple innocent people..
It’s ok on other feed ..NO offenses so that’s good.
Don’t understand why he ran away, he could be drugged, drunk, banned, car uninsured untaxed or no mot, he will only get a slapped wrist going by the usual court reports.

To flee the scene how would they ever know who

another person could say that they were driving.
You cannot make this sh*t up!
Devolution is desperately needed, maybe then the island
will have mainland laws and rules.
