Cowes Water Taxi has come to the rescue by offering a cross-Medina service between East Cowes and Cowes at times when the Council-funded passenger launch is not running.
With the floating bridge out of action until further notice, a replacement service is operating for passengers only. However, the Council is only funding a limited number of hours which don’t fit around the community’s needs.
To bring a solution to the table, David Foyle and Bob Holt are offering crossings from the usual pick up and drop off points at times when the normal launch is not operating.
Cowes Water Taxi is operating Monday to Friday from 10:00-13:00 and 19:00-23:30 and 10:00-17:00 on Saturday and Sundays. Adults are being charged at £1.50 single, 50p single for Under 16s and children under 5 are free.
