Cowes Concert Band will soon be bringing the sounds of Christmas to 4 Island churches.
The 26-strong brass band starts its tour at Binstead Methodist Church on 25th November (20:00), followed by All Saints’ Church, Gurnard on 2nd December (19:45), East Cowes Methodist on 9th December (20:00) and Newport Methodist on 16th December at 19:45.
The concerts will feature a variety of new and old Christmas-themed music and traditional carols.
Band musical director Andy Norman said:
“We have been touring Island churches at Christmas for many years and they have become a traditional fixture in the Island calendar. The band will be performing some new arrangements of favourite tunes together with some familiar festive pieces and carols – there will be something for everyone.”
Admission to the concerts is free, with retiring collections in aid of church and band funds.
