Those trying to call the Isle of Wight Council are having difficulties doing so this morning (Tuesday) due to a technical issue.
The Council have apologised to callers who are trying to get through to the call centre at Westridge. They say they are temporarily unable to take incoming calls.
A spokesperson has said:
“We hope the issue will be resolved soon. In the mean time you can try online channels as an alternative option.
“An update will be given once the technical issues are resolved”.
UPDATE @ 12:40 – The Isle of Wight Council say that their call centre is now operational again following the earlier technical issues.
Islanders are being asked to be patient if experiencing any delays when contacting the Council today as they are working through a backlog.
UPDATE @ 14:30 – The Council have said that they are still experiencing intermittent technical issues which means some calls are having problems in getting through.
