A convicted rapist who is serving a lengthy sentence at HMP Isle of Wight has admitted exposing his penis to a prison dentist and dental nurse.
Glenroy Barnes, 29, of HMP Isle of Wight appeared before magistrates this morning (Tuesday) following the incident on 5th March 2021.
The court heard that Barnes attended a dental appointment at the on-site practice and was found to have advanced tooth decay, resulting in a follow-up appointment being necessary for extraction.
It was when the convicted sex offender, who has a history of exposure, was attending the appointment that the female prison dentist noticed a hole in his trousers – partially exposing his genitals – whilst administering anaesthetic. Mr Barnes was told to cover the hole in his prison-issued trousers with a jumper.
Ann Smout, prosecuting, told the court that following the treatment, Glenroy stood up and fully exposed his penis to both the dentist and the dental nurse. The matter was subsequently reported to the police.
Barnes, who was sentenced to 12 years and 9 months in prison for raping a 76-year-old woman in 2019, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to have 7 days added to his current sentence concurrently, in place of a fine.
It should have all its teeth pulled out without anaesthetic and then put down. Waste of oxygen

i shouldn’t worry too much about it – at 29 years old, he still has decades of putting up with the knowledge of what he has done and how it will remain on his record and blight his future forever – he might feel smug in a jail dentist, but exposing himself is all he has – the rest of his life was flushed down the toilet by his own stupidity… he has at least another 50 years of looking over his shoulder and worrying that every bump or knock at the door may be his neighbours who have found out about his past or the police questioning him as a known offender when any crimes are reported – he will never escape it, ever

7 days…..seriously… is it just me …or are the sentences not actually matching any crime… at all …ever … none of the sentences for different offences..make any logical sense…someone please explain to me what sentence I would get if I beat the hell out of someone who was beating the hell out of someone in front of me in the street.. not that this has happened….yet .. but just curious?
