A moving evening of music and reflection will take place at Christ the King College, Newport, for the Festival of Remembrance on Friday (7th November).
Now in its fifth year, the event will begin at 19:30, bringing together musicians, cadets and dignitaries from across the Isle of Wight for what is expected to be a memorable and heartfelt occasion.
VIP guests will include the High Sheriff of the Isle of Wight, the Deputy Lord Lieutenant Brigadier Maurice Sheen, and Isle of Wight Council Chairman Ian Dore, alongside other civic representatives.
Performances throughout the evening will feature the Medina Marching Band, Isle of Wight Highland Pipes and Drums, Island Free School Jazz Band, IW College Uniformed Public Services, IW Air Cadets, and Ryde and Cowes Sea Cadets.
A traditional Act of Remembrance and Drumhead Service will be led by Royal British Legion County Chaplain Rev Whatley, with Standard Bearers representing Royal British Legion branches, military groups and youth organisations from across the Island.
All proceeds from the evening will go directly to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
