A number of commercial fridges and other kitchen-related objects have been illegally dumped in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on St Boniface Down in Ventnor.

The shocking discovery was made by Island resident John Anderson yesterday afternoon (Wednesday) whilst he was out walking his dog.

The items, which could be harmful to the environment, have been left at the side of the road on National Trust land. It is unknown if the owners dumped them, or a waste carrier tasked with their removal.

John has taken to Facebook in the hope the offenders can be identified through someone recognising the equipment, especially the j2O fridge. It is thought the items may have come from a café or similar following an end-of-season clear out.
