A new regular comedy slot is coming to Medina Theatre in Newport.
In collaboration with The Comedy Network, there will be live shows from some of the most exciting new talent on the comedy scene.
Headlining the opening night next Thursday (5th September) is Tom Craine, an award-winning stand-up comedian and writer who has recently appeared on Russell Howard’s Good News and Live at the Electric.
Support for the evening is from Ahir Shah, one of comedy’s brightest new talents whose sharp brand of stand-up features a blend of socio-political awareness, energetic delivery and jokes.
The evening’s host is stand-up comedian and comic actor, Paul McCaffrey, who will soon be seen on a new BBC television show called Impractical Jokers.
The Comedy Network was established by Avalon Promotions in 1992 after working with student entertainment teams all over the country. Since then, The Comedy Network has had many award nominations and can boast a number of famous comics to have emerged. These include Russell Howard, Noel Fielding, Bill Bailey, Ed Byrne, Harry Hill, Al Murray, Ross Noble, Dave Gorman, Sean Lock and Lee Mack.
Medina Comedy Club will be on the first Thursday of the month, excluding December and January. Tickets are £13 and if you are a One Card member, they are available for £10.
