A section of coastal path at Brighstone has been reopened this week thanks to the kind permission of Brighstone Holiday Centre.
Part of the round-the-Island route, which runs along the ‘back’ of the Isle of Wight, had to be temporary closed recently after being lost to a landslip.
The Isle of Wight Council’s Rights of Way team have been working with owners and managers at Brighstone Holiday Centre and as a result the popular route has been diverted inland on a permissive basis.
The coastal path now crosses over privately owned land belonging to the centre.
Members of the public are being reminded to be considerate and respectful of the privacy of the users of the centre and to keep to the sign posted coastal path. Dogs should be kept on leads and owners should clear up after them when passing through the Brighstone Holiday Centre.
