IW Met Service has issued a Christmas forecast for the Isle of Wight – but does it include snow?
Unfortunately, it won’t be a ‘Wight’ Christmas this year with temperatures sitting between 7c-8c.
Showers will clear away as this evening progresses to leave a dry night with clear spells developing. It will feel colder than in recent nights with a slight ground frost expected inland.
Christmas Day will see a cold but sunny start and will remain dry throughout, although some cloud will move in as the afternoon progressing. The winds will be just 2-8mph WNW, becoming SE during the afternoon.
Boxing Day will see early cloud and rain clearing for a time before the cloud increases once again with patchy rain possible during the afternoon. Winds will gust up to 35mph by mid-morning, with 2-4mm of rainfall expected.
