After their successful opening concert of 2013 at Ryde Methodist Church, the Phoenix Choir continue their season with a performance in Newport on Friday 3rd May.
£350 was raised for the Isle of Wight Girls’ Brigade at the season-opener, however it hoped that even more will be raised at the forthcoming performance, which will commence at 19:30 at St John’s Church, Newport on the 3rd.
The Choir are singing in aid of the Isle of Wight Society for the Blind and there will be a £5 admission charge payable at the door.
They will perform under the banner of ‘From Pavarotti to Presley’ and their varied programme will include a medley of songs from ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’.
They are looking forward to adding to the £8,500 they have raised for good causes since their début three years ago. Full details of the choir can be found on their website www.phoenixchoir.org.uk
