It’s been a busy week of racing again for some of the Wightlink-Wight Mountain TT Series team.
On Tuesday, James Veal and Stuart Waite headed off to Thruxton for which turned out to be one of their fastest races this season, with the large field of riders putting in one attack after another to get away in a break.
The teammates dug in and on the final lap, James went ahead of Stuart, pushing on to lead him out for the bunch sprint.
In the last 30m, Stu put in a burst and finished in a close 7th place, just in front of James. A good night’s work from the lads, picking up some valuable points towards their 2nd Cat target.
Nearer to home, Jerry Cooper travelled to the Mountbatten track in Portsmouth for the 3rd Cat races on Wednesday and Saturday.
The pace was fast and furious with attacks from the start which eventually split the field in both races. Jerry put in a good performance, finishing in the bunch on Wednesday, and on Saturday he pushed on to take 10th place.
