You’re being invited along to Bembridge Village Hall on 22nd July to see the ‘Burlesque Chair Dance with Coco Monroe’ Summer Showcase.
For a year now, Coco Monroe has been teaching some fabulous women across the island. Over that year their skill and confidence has grown and this show is a celebration of all they have achieved.
It promises to be a fabulous evening of entertainment: your toes will start tapping and you might even find yourself wanting to sign up to join the troupe for their next show!
The ladies certainly look like they’re having fun as well as demonstrating some skilful moves as they dance to a range of songs from pop classics such as Mustang Sally by The Commitments, to big show tunes like I Am A Good Girl from the film Burlesque, and even some racy numbers like S&M by Rihanna! The gorgeously talented Milly Joliffe will also be singing some show-stopping songs, wowing us with her powerful voice. There is something for everyone in this show.
Drinks will be available on the night by pre-order only. Simply reply before 15th July with your order: the drinks menu will be emailed to you with your tickets. Doors open at 19:30 for an 20:00 start and demand for tickets is such that table seats are now completely sold out; there are however still some stall seats left at just £10 each. Please note: there will be no nudity (or nipple tassels) in this show. The routines and costumes are of a suggestive nature only. As alcohol will be served, this event is for over 18s only.
Thank goodness the Parish Council installed a defib machine outside the Village hall.
It may very well be needed as the average age of the males in the village is around 71.
