UPDATED: 36-year-old David Conlan and 36-year-old Rebecca Conlan are to appear before the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court accused of burglary following an incident at Day Lewis Pharmacy in Niton last month.
During the early hours of Tuesday 23rd November the small village pharmacy on High Street was broken into, as previously reported by Island Echo.
The husband and wife duo from Wilberforce Road in Brighstone have been charged with burglary other than dwelling – theft and will appear before the court tomorrow (Friday).
David and Rebecca are jointly accused of stealing a quantity of medication of an unknown value. Mr Conlan is also accused of assaulting a constable in the execution of his duty in East Cowes and using threatening/abusive/insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress to another male Police officer.
UPDATE FRIDAY – David and Rebecca Conlan have pleaded guilty to all charges and will now appear before the Isle of Wight Crown Court for sentencing on 12th January.
The pair have been given unconditional bail.
