Fresh from the news that he has been re-elected as Councillor for Central Wight, Bob Seely has tonight (Friday) been confirmed as the Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for the Conservative party on the Isle of Wight.
Members of the Isle of Wight Conservative Association gathered at Newport Minster earlier this evening to vote on their chosen candidate for next month’s General Election.
Originally, Cllr Seely was to stand in the selection process against Mark Fox and Clare Foges – but that all changed and local solicitor Joe Robertson and Alice Kearns were in the running tonight.
Bob Seely MBE will go up against Nick Belfitt (Lib Dem), Julian Critchley (Lab), Julie Jones-Evans (Ind) and Vix Lowthion (Green). UKIP are yet to announce their candidate.
