The installation of the barrier system at St Mary’s Hospital in Newport has been delayed due to unforeseen circumstances.
The Isle of Wight NHS Trust say that the delay means the new no-through restriction will not be in place and go live today (Monday) as planned.
The Trust will provide an update as soon as an update is received from car parking and security contractor APCOA Parking UK Ltd.
In the meantime APCOA’s Car Parking and Security Staff will continue to stop vehicles that use St Mary’s site as a ‘short-cut’ until the barrier is installed.
