Supermarket giant Asda are now welcoming applications from job hunters ahead of the opening of their first Isle of Wight store, which will welcome shoppers for the first time in August.
Hundreds of positions are up for grabs as Asda moves towards completing the new store at St George’s Way in Newport. Roles available include Bakery, Warehouse, Counters, Shop floor, Delivery Driving, Personal Shopping, Clothing, Administration and Finance.
Embarrassingly, the new store is listed as being on the Isle of White – but shoppers and colleagues alike will be hopeful that it will be all ‘Wight’ on the night.

19 hour contracts are being offered across the board, however it is unclear if this is accurate.
As first reported by Island Echo, the store will open on Monday 21st August.
