The newly opened Asda Newport has revealed details of local suppliers which the supermarket will stock.
To celebrate these suppliers, Asda has created a map to show just how close each of the suppliers is to the store. In fact, each is a 20 minute or less drive from St George’s Way, meaning that products can reach shelves and shoppers in record time.
Throughout the UK, Asda works to support British food producers. However, the number of local suppliers available at Asda Newport, is especially high. Each of the listed supplier’s products are sourced less than 13 miles away from the store, making the food truly local to Isle of Wight shoppers.
Island suppliers available instore include:
• Briddlesford Farm Dairy, Wootton
• Goddards Brewery, Ryde
• Isle of Wight Cheese Company, Sandown
• Wight Crystal Spring Water and Soft Drinks, Newport
• Yates’ Brewery, Newchurch
Kenny Farrell, general store manager at Asda Newport Isle of Wight, said:

Asda Newport Isle of Wight is open Monday to Friday 06:00-midnight, Saturday 06:00-22:00 and Sunday 10:00-16:00.
