‘The Men of Wight’ and ‘The Oyster Girls’ will be performing at various locations across the estate on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th October between 12:30 and 14:30.
This year has been a ‘mast year’ for the wild harvest and the produce in Osborne’s walled garden has also given a bumper crop. Visitors will have the opportunity to purchase some of the more unusual fruits including Medlar and Quince, which were popular with the Victorians and Lane’s Prince Albert cooking apples. A recipe will be provided with each variety.
For those looking for a more immediate taste of Autumn, the Beach café will be serving a special Apple Crumble ice-cream from Minghella’s as well as a Lumber Jack apple and date cake, mulled cider and other delicious apple cakes and tarts.
