Wightlink have cancelled 12 sailings on their Yarmouth-Lymington route tomorrow (Tuesday) citing adverse weather as the reason.
The cancellations come more than 12 hours before the first affected sailing, and more than 24 hours away from the last.
The cross-Solent operator says that the 06:40, 08:45, 11:00, 15:00, 17:00 and 19:15 sailings from Lymington have all been cancelled. That is in addition to the 07:50, 10:05, 12:05, 16:05, 18:05 and 20:10 sailings from Yarmouth.
It is thought that the adverse weather is affecting the route due to limited availability of engines on at least 1 vessel.
Wightlink apologises for the changes to your travel plans.
Really, in my opinion they don’t give a damn about the customers that keep thier buisness alive. Such a shoddy service. It’s about time that the island MP took them to task over the appauling service they offer. Or perhaps we will have a new MP on Friday that will!!
Why would the current m.p take them to task? He has a vested interest in both companies. If you want change to the ferry farce vote for someone else.
Change the engine to one that can cope, simple.
