70-year-old West Wight Road Runner Graham Madison completed the Amsterdam Marathon in 4 hours, 58 minutes and 41 seconds on Sunday (16th October).
Graham was 1 of 3 West Wight runners to complete the distance. Jackie Williams ran the marathon in 5:09.17 – a great time for her 1st attempt. Paul Williams – who finished in a speedy 4:04.42 – was the fastest of the trio.
Several other West Wight Road Runners members also completed the 10-mile Great South Run in Portsmouth on Sunday, finishing with some great times.
West Wight Road Runners’ run nights are on a Wednesday at 19:00 and usually cover from 4 to 6 miles. Runners of all abilities are welcome. Anyone wanting further information about the club may visit their website.
