‘Lady Christine’, a luxury 68m superyacht worth over $60million is currently moored off Cowes after appearing off the north coast of the Island over the weekend.
It is understood the impressive vessel belongs to Baron Irvine Laidlaw, a Scottish businessman and former member of the House of Lords. The 74-year-old is thought to be worth in the region of $750million and part owns a $2.1 billion wind-farm project. He is also a private investor for Portsmouth-based Ben Ainslie Racing.
The 2010 Feadship-built boat can accommodate 10 guests and 21 crew and features a cinema, infinity effect pool and even a boat garage.
It is unclear as to why the Baron – or maybe a friend – has decided to visit the Island, but with the gorgeous summer sunshine how could anyone resist…
The ‘Amaryllis’ – a superyacht that charters out at $800,000 a week – was spotted off Yarmouth earlier in the weekend.
