A 55-year-old motorcyclist from Carisbrooke remains in hospital following a serious crash in a rural part of the Island on Good Friday – some 6 weeks ago.
As first reported by Island Echo, the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, Police and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service were called to Berry Shute between Chillerton and Chale on the morning of Friday 14th April after a motorcycle collided with a car.
The road was closed for over 7 hour as officers from the mainland-based Collision Investigation Unit examined the scene.
Hampshire Constabulary have confirmed that the casualty has sustained life-changing injuries to his leg and that he remains in hospital.
No arrests have been made at this time.
