3 Christ the King College students represented the school in the Hampshire Schools’ Athletic Association Combined Events Championships in Andover on Thursday (23rd May).

Athletes competed in a total of 5 events on the day.

The biggest field was in the Junior Girls category where there were 19 athletes competing. Naomi Holdsworth scored personal bests in the 75m hurdles, shot put and long jump to score 2120 and finish 6th overall.

In the Junior Boys category, Jacob Patey finished 4th with 1669 points with personal bests in the 80m hurdles, shot put and long jump.

In the Intermediate Girls category, Eden Canning finished 8th with 1833 points with personal bests in shot put and javelin

As Jacob finished in the top 4 in his category he has been selected to represent Hampshire Schools in the South East Schools’ Combined Event Championships in Basingstoke at the end of June.

Thanks has been given to Mr Patey for accompanying the team to Andover.
