Isle of Wight ladies’ football teams have continued their successful start to the season picking up 2 wins and a draw on Sunday (9th October).
Shanklin Ladies have advanced to 2nd place in Hampshire County Division 1 after vanquishing Portchester 1-0 at the County Ground.
Ceri Kilcullen was the goalscorer for Shanklin, with Thea Broadhead providing the cross.
Shanklin are now 1 point behind leaders Eastleigh with a game in hand.
In Hampshire County Division 3, Cowes Sports Ladies drew 3-3 away to Widbrook United II.
Lauren Hamer, Kira Smith and Aurora Tout were on target for the Roes.
Cowes Sports Ladies remain unbeaten in the season so far and lie in 4th place in Hampshire County Division 3, 4 points behind leaders Gosport Borough Ladies.
In Hampshire County Division 4, Wight Eagles won 0-7 away to Varsity Reserves.
The scorers for the Eagles were Ellena (2), Chloe, Abi, Daisy, Amelia and Hannah. Amber Dunne was player-of-the-match.
Wight Eagles currently top their league with 13 points from 5 games.
