12-year-old Josh Williams, who competes for Wighttricks Academy in Cowes, has won an international tricking competition in Oslo, Norway.
Wighttricks Academy (WTX) is the only Urban Sports facility on the Isle of Wight, teaching free running, acrobatics and tricking – a combination of gymnastics and martial arts movements.
The Academy took a small team of students to the international tricking competition in Norway. Poppy and Millie – both aged 13 – were placed in the top 8, as was 10-year -old Lily.
Josh Williams came 1st and therefore won the whole event!
The sport of tricking has been described as an aesthetic blend of flips kicks and twists, combining both gymnastics and acrobatics.
