The Isle of Wight’s Zac Lacey secured Gold at the Down Syndrome Swimming Federation European Open last weekend.
Competing in the 200m Butterfly, Zac took victory in an impressive time of 03:16.67 beating his personal best by a staggering 26 seconds. He followed this up with a Bronze medal in the 100m Butterfly event.
Zac, who is part of Seaclose Swimming Club and is coached by Val Guard, also managed to gain Top 5 finishes with a 4th in the 50m Butterfly and a 5th in the 100m Backstroke.
The event was held in Southampton.
