YOUNG CRICKETER BERTIE ADKINS SELECTED FOR HAMPSHIRE CRICKET BOYS’ WINTER TRAINING SQUAD

14-year-old Bertie Adkins from Newport has been selected for the Hampshire Cricket Boys Player Pathway Regional Performance Centre (RPC) Under 15’s Winter Training Squad for 2023/24. Bertie – who attends Ryde School plays for Newport CC and Porchfield CC – has enjoyed a very successful season, winning the Chris Cheverton Trophy for the most promising colt at this year’s Newport Cricket Club Awards evening. Bertie is supported by the Isle of Wight Talented Athlete Scheme and looks forward to improving his cricket under this new opportunity.
