Police on the Isle of Wight are reinforcing that ‘you can run but you can’t hide’ after seizing a motorcycle that made off from officers in The Bay area.

The vehicle failed to stop for Police in Lake yesterday (Wednesday), prompting officers to keep a sharp lookout for the unusual looking bike.

As a result of further investigations, the motorcycle has today been seized under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act and has therefore been taken off the road – potentially for good.

Seems alot of people are running and hiding quite succesfully recently. With the bridlesford road incident and the merrie gardens incident I just read about. Driver and passenger legged it in both incedents, still to be caught.

The reason there is so much crime here on the Island now is due to our council accepting The Worst from mainland estates, those we see on cant work wont work programmes. And then their children become their parents, and it goes on and on. Its nothing to do with discipline, its down to the kind of parenting that has arrived in such a small place. Whereas prior to this, there may have been fights etc and the odd crim ehere and there. But i’d say that more than 60% of all crime here is from those families.

What a load of rubbish it’s down to police budget cuts. It is down to the apathy of local residents to get out and vote allowing the ruling party to make these cuts. Don’t blame each other and fight the cuts that are only getting worse

At least confiscating the vehicles is a form of summary justice. Better than slapped wrists from out if touch IOW JPs after listening to bent briefs.
