UPDATED: The X Factor is back and on the lookout for the next big breakout music stars, which includes a visit to the Isle of Wight as part of the 2017 audition tour.
The Open Auditions tour will be visiting Quay Arts, Newport on Thursday 9th March between 10:00-16:30.
In addition, the X Factor production team will also be attending an open mic night on Wednesday 8th March at the Blacksheep Bar, Ryde from 19:00-23:00. You can get in touch with the bar if you are interested in showcasing your talent.
Groups or solo singers aged 16+ can apply by registering online or by just turning up on the day. All under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and have valid ID.
Host of the hit ITV show, Dermot O’Leary says:
“2016 was a fantastic year for The X Factor and now we’re about to kick start the auditions for 2017! We found some incredible talent and some amazing voices last year and now it could be your turn. Just one audition could change your life so if you think you’ve got what it takes then why don’t you apply?”
This year there are 3 easy ways to apply:
• Registering online (https://application.xfactor.tv/) for one of the Open Auditions or by just turning up at one of the Open Auditions on the day
• Heading to the Mobile Audition Tour which will be visiting smaller towns and cities across the country. There is no need to register for the Mobile Audition dates – full

• For anyone who isn’t able to make it to any of the auditions you can also send in your own video audition via the website https://application.xfactor.tv/
Acts are advised to turn up early to the Open Auditions and Mobile Auditions. Everyone who turns up will be guaranteed an audition.
