A woman is counting the cost of repairing 2 windows at her home in Ventnor after they were found smashed in what appears to have been a deliberate act in the early hours of yesterday morning (Thursday).
The woman is said to have been left feeling shaken and traumatised after making the discovery at her home in Mitchell Avenue, with the destruction leaving shards of broken glass scattered around the inside of the property, and two gaping holes in the window frames.
A post on Facebook by the homeowner’s relative, appealing for information about the incident, called the damage ‘cowardly and wrong’.
Island Echo has been told that the breakage took place at approximately 03:45, with rocks thought to have been thrown at the property.
The woman’s family has asked the person responsible to get in touch with them should the damage have been accidental in a bid to put it right and recoup the cost of the replacement glass.

Accidental? How could this ‘be’ accidental twice?
Why would this woman be a target? It is obviously not an accident.
The reason the family say might be accidental is it could be a case of mistaken identity? All the same they/them are still cowardly scum!
More like drunken drugged up imbeciles,
Nothing better to do at stupid o’clock in the morning….
Unless they start boasting about it to their friends????? Doubt if they will be found….
Hope they are though.
Hope lady involved is ok as well bit of a shock at anytime let alone stupid o’clock .
