The former Wishing Well pub at Pondwell, near Ryde, is to re-open its doors tonight (Wednesday) as ‘Mermaid’, the new home of the Isle of Wight Distillery.
The venue has been transformed into a fully working distillery, cocktail bar and shop. Visitors will be able to sip cocktails from simple G&Ts and Bloody Mary’s to something a little bit more special.
Whilst enjoying a drink patrons can view the inner workings of the distillery through a glass wall. Watch the distilling process in action from start to finish, then enjoy the fruits of the labour.
A new on site shop will be selling everything in the Distillery’s range.
All are welcome to the launch event between 18:00 and 23:00 tonight (Wednesday).
Regular opening hours throughout February are Wednesday-Sunday 11:00 to 15:00 then 18:00 to 23:00. From March onwards ‘Mermaid’ will be open daily from 11:00 to 23:00.
