Would you like to own an image of the Gruffalo, drawn and signed by its creator, Axel Scheffler? If so, then organisers of the IW Story Festival, taking place this February half term, are giving you the chance.
With less than 3 weeks to go until the IW Story Festival 2023, organisers have announced there will be a raffle of illustrations at the event at Quay Arts.
Prizes up for grabs include the hand-drawn image of the Gruffalo – which was completed on stage by illustrator Axel Scheffler at last year’s festival – and a drawing by author/illustrators Sarah McIntyre and Philip Reeve, also drawn live on-stage last year.
Tickets for the raffle are only available from the event, between Thursday 16th and Saturday 18th February.
2023 headliner Simon Farnaby, of Horrible Histories and Ghosts fame, will draw the winning tickets live on stage during his sold-out session on the Saturday.
The IW Story Festival has been running in February half-term since 2020 and has become a firm favourite with primary-aged families.
This year, for the first time, the festival has been extended to three days, with the Thursday session dedicated to the over-12s, and offering a diverse programme of performances and hands-on workshops.
