Model railway enthusiasts from across the Isle of Wight and beyond are set to descend on Newport this November for Wightrail 2025 – a 2-day exhibition hosted by the Wight Model Railway Group.
The popular event will take place at Medina Leisure Centre on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd November (10:00-16:00 both days), with layouts on display ranging from N gauge to Gauge 1. Visitors can expect a packed hall of working exhibits, static displays, trade stands and a club stall.
Wightrail regularly attracts both newcomers and long-time enthusiasts, with this year’s show set to feature a mix of local and visiting layouts. The Pullman Belles will once again be on hand to provide refreshments throughout the weekend.
The venue is easily accessible via Southern Vectis bus routes 5 (Newport–East Cowes) and 9 (Newport–Ryde via Fairlee), with Medina Leisure Centre located on Fairlee Road, PO30 2DX.
Admission is £6 for adults aged 16 and over. Accompanied under 16s go free.
