Footballers from Wightlink will be renewing the friendliest of rivalries with transport colleagues Southern Vectis at a charity football match next month.
The match will take place at Seaview FC on Sunday 4th March (kick off 14:00) and will raise money for Prostate Cancer UK and the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
Wightlink’s team comprises players from across the company who come together to compete in charity fundraising fixtures against teams including Red Funnel and Morrisons.
Scott Harvey, Wightlink’s team captain and player for Seaview FC says:
“We have played Southern Vectis before and managed to beat them 3-0 so I am sure they will be looking for revenge this time around”.
Vice-captain Mike Parsons, who also plays for Seaview FC adds:
“Whatever the result, the matches are always played in good spirit and raise money for deserving local causes so we would urge people to come along and show their support”.
